Hi I knew that the company is toxic but didn’t think it would affect me one day. I worked with 2 sisters, they had a physical fight in the office and one bled. Nothing was done. Our manager started dating junior staff nothing was done. Junior staff started being egotistical and had all the benefits. Two sisters ganged up on me and were blind right racists as they were colourds and me black and manager done nothing to intervene. Worst thing they made me look bad to other colleagues and they would come and tell me. I would just smile and wave, little did I know that the sisters thought I was scared of them, me being civilized and much mature than both combined. One time the one sister was walking in the corridors and I was walking up facing her, she clicked her tongue as a disrespectful gesture, I didn’t react, instead I informed my manager and guess what nothing was done. What could have happened if I questioned her and a fight broke? I would have been fired on the spot. Lots of traps were set up against me. But with the protection of God! Nothing touched me. As I calculated all the incidents from the past 7 years, I knew then that my time is up. I resigned with my dignity intact. Private companies are so toxic, in fact family companies are the worst.
